Introduction to Data Visualization

Introduction to Data Visualization

Visualizing data: why and how?
Data visualization is omnipresent in our research outputs, whether to explain a complex process, make a dataset intelligible or simply illustrate an article. In this workshop, we'll see that visualization is as much a way for the researcher to make his/her data speak as it is to communicate with his/her audience. We'll start with a theoretical introduction to the evolution of this "art" and an overview of the different forms that statistical results can take. Then we'll look at how the Tableau software can be used to show different facets of a particular dataset.
